Downloading & Installing MetalSpy

1. Complete Setup

   If you've never installed MetalSpy before then it's recommended to download the complete setup (~ 2.5MB).

   Setup will check to see if your machine has the latest versions of some Windows DLL's. It might pop up a message saying something like "Setup cannot continue... blah blah blah ... system files out of date. Would you like setup to update those files?" Click Yes, then click Yes again when it asks you to reboot. When your machine's back up, restart the setup program.

   Once MetalSpy is installed and you defaulted through the options, you should have a new program group called "NeverEnding Software" under Start|Programs. In this group is the shortcut to MetalSpy. Click it and MetalSpy will quietly park itself in the System Tray of your Start Bar. You should now see an evil-looking eye icon there. To bring up the main window, double-click this icon. Click the Update button and a list of your games will magically appear. Pretty cool, huh?

   The rest is pretty self-explanatory. Check the help file for more information on using MetalSpy.

2. Update

   For those with a previous installation of MetalSpy get the Update which contains only the MetalSpy executable (~65kB), close MetalSpy (you can't delete or overwrite when the program is running), replace the old version with the new version and restart MetalSpy, that's it.
